Step One: Login

In order to make a page, you will need to be logged in with your forum ID and password.

Step Two: Make a Link to the Page

To post a log, you will first make a link to the page. This is the way wikis work--it prevents "lost" or unlinked pages. What this means is that the first thing we will do is make a link on Recent Logs.

  1. If you are logged in, you will see an edit button on Recent Logs. Click on the edit button. You can click the edit button at the top. Doing so will take you to the wiki page editor.
  2. Once there, type in a name for your log, like this: [[Sandy's Childbirthing Hips]]. Be sure to type the brackets! If you're posting a PrP, you might use instead: [[PRP: Sandy's Childbirthing Hips]].
  3. Now, save and exit the editor.

Step Three: Create the Page

Now Recent Logs will have your log's name in it as a red link.

  1. Click on that red ink. This creates the page for your log.
  2. Edit! Paste the log into the editor. Note if there's a space at the beginning of a line, the wiki will think you're trying to input code. You can also use the <pre> tags to present preformatted text, such as in the case of a +glance. If you're unsure what should be included in a log post, please see our PrP Policies.
  3. Before exiting the editor, be sure and include [[Category: Logs]] at the bottom of your page. Alternately, you can use the Add Categories dropdown that will show up when you're in editing mode. This keeps the page editable. If you forget, don't worry too much--just page staff, and we'll fix it.

Special: How do I Format...?

Wiki formatting asks you put in an extra return to break a line or make a paragraph. You can also use the <pre> tags to present preformatted text, such as in the case of +glance. Note that leading spaces (such as used in some poses) will make the wiki think that you're presenting code, so remember to strip out any leading spaces before posting.

If you need something fancier, see our Wiki Help section.
