Bonuses

From Tenebrae
Jump to navigation Jump to search

On Tenebrae, we value our players. We are a game about getting involved within the community, and being a part of a larger whole. That said, we also offer a few incentives towards these goals. Player refers to you, of course, while a character is, well, a character.

RPP spends must abide by RPP guidelines, and the level bonuses may only combine to a maximum starting level of 4.

New Player Bonuses

Are you new to Tenebrae? The following incentives are available to new players (not characters):

Bonuses for New Players
Introduce Your PC Earn 1 RPP by posting an introduction to our +bboards! We want to hear about you, and the story you're here to tell.

RPPs, also known as Roleplay Points and Perks, are a custom, inhouse system that let you purchase things such as a hit die reroll, or even an odd ability or three. As a special note, please use +request/rpp to let staff know when you do. While we watch this sort of thing, there is always a chance we miss it, and we want to be sure you get your points.

Your First Character Page Earn 1 RPP by making your first character page! Share a few details, post a character image, and so on. As a special note, please use +request/rpp to let staff know when you do. While we watch this sort of thing, there is always a chance we miss it, and we want to be sure you get your points.
Run Your First PrP Run your first PrP! Get to know others and try your hand at what it takes to run a scene. (+1 level if you do this before Level 5)
Fill a Niche We encourage folks to play what they want. If cleric is for you, though, you'll start at Level 3 by playing one. (PC must primarily be of this class, and you may combine this with 1 other bonus, giving you a maximum starting level of 4.)
Earn 10 RPPs and Spend Them Spending 10 RPPs can advance you to 3rd! (or 4th if you are playing a cleric, or ran your first PrP)

These awards are for new players, not characters. They are a way to welcome new players to the game. Attempting to claim them as a current player is a breach of trust as well as policy.

Current Player Bonuses

We value our community, and the effort every one of us puts into it. While we are a MU, we are also a kind of virtual tabletop, a place to sit, game, and toss the dice with friends. These are for you!

My Little Fanfic When a PC reaches L11 and beyond, they become a subject of personal curiosity. This isn't any different than what happens to celebrities and nobles back in the day. They begin to get horrible fanfic in some areas of the world, as well as goofy, plushy figurines that go 'I smash!' or 'Pew pew pew!' when a string is pulled, and so on. This is not something they control, nor can it be avoided; it's just the price of getting more well-known. The fanfic gets more outrageous as they gain in level, probably seeing them in scandalous romances with dastardly goblin princes, and so on and so forth.
