The Lower Trades District is the home of the working man of Alexandria. The Lower Trades is divided, unofficially, into two parts: that controlled by the gobbers, and that controlled by the khazad. The two areas stand in contrast, one with a strong, almost formal architecture and a predilection for blacksmiths, the other a mixture of propped-up rubble and gunpowder. The latter's started to grow however, and take form with the aid of the more structured Arvek Nar. Still, the two stand as uneasy neighbors, though the oruch more easily work both sides, often in the spirit of a friendly, if competitive, warriors' competition that's unique to Alexandria, itself.

Here, the "khazad section" boasts a number of blacksmiths, glass smiths, artifice shops, and basic taverns, as well as any number of trades shops and eateries. The sweet tinge of oil, iron, and spiced BBQ is everywhere. Shrines to Reos, or marks of the same, are found over most doorways, in homage to the khazad Mountain Father and World Smith.

Mikilos sits quietly at an outdoor cafe, enjoying a bowl of Khazad Chili. The type served in a stone bowl, because a wooden bowl would char. Not a typical breakfast, but wizards, and the area in general, keep odd hours. Nearby, several larger than life, cartoonish illusions proudly advertise magical wares purchased at Mithralla Merchandise. Most of the ads are given in Trade Speak, but other languages popular in the District are given a spot.

Brianna is standing near some of the shops. Well she looks like she might have just come out of one of the artifice shops actually. She is humming a bit and glancing around. She spies the illusions and heads over in that direction, "Interesting use for such things." she says as she gets over there.

Mikilos mmmms, carefully spooning out a small red pepper from his meal. Spicy chili is one thing. Roasted peppers used in it are quite another. "Effective as well. Not everyone stops to look at a flyer, but almost all notice the illusions. And makes it perfectly clear the wizard in question not only has magical ability, but enough power to spare on such things."

Brianna smiles a little, "Still, I wonder if I could make a magical sign similar to that." she shakes her head a bit and then smiles. It is a good day."

Mikilos ponders a few moments and shrugs. "Likely could. The base formation isn't particularly complex, and doesn't require much power. But conversions between schools of magic isn't something I'm that well versed in. I've seen versions with a small bit that repeat themsevles endlessly, but on the fly adaptations requires an operator. A wizard staying close and running things."

Brianna nods, "Well I mostly meant trying to do it with artifice. I am not a wizard, couldn't quite figure it out, but artifice." she shakes her head, "I have a knack for that."

Mikilos nods. "I would think it could be done. But not my area of expertise. I understand the root theories, but not the practical applications."

Brianna nods her head, "Yeah it might take me a bit too, but that is just cause I have focused more on my armor than some of the other things." she shakes her head a bit and smiles.

Mikilos frowns thoughtfully a moment and shrugs. "The whole mix of armor and magic is forgin to me. Well, magical armor isn't, but trying to cast while weighed down is. The concept I can follow, but it runs counter to my intuition."

Brianna nods and smiles, "Well I think its mostly that my magic is built into devices, it allows me to get by the armor and casting thing." she says and smiles a bit, "But then you do have a bit more options, well wizards do anyway."

Mikilos nods. "Versitility is good. But power and options have their place. As much as I dislike them, have to admit Airships have made the world a better place. Or at elast a better connected one."

Brianna nods and skiles, "yes that is something i have to admit was great to discover, I wonder what made the first one ever think of it." she stretches.

Mikilos ponders a few moments and shrugs. "I don't know. Variations of the process have been around for Ages. Though only recently have airships really become popular." 'Recent' means something a little different comming from an elf.

Brianna nodsm "it would be interestinh to try and find out. Well I should be on my way, nice running into you."

Mikilos smiles, and waves. "A pleasure seeing you again." The elf returns to his chili and magical ad marketing.
