It's cold. It's snowy! Probably snowing right now, even.

Not everyone likes this arrangement of things, necessarily, especially if they aren't used to the cold. But, on the other hand-- not being used to the cold also makes all of it a great deal for training, too, don't it? Pushing one's limits and getting past comfort zones and all.

And so we find Zant, doing what he usually does-- running. And jumping. Across rooftops, to be specific-- and damned we be if the Temple District doesn't provide some fantastic architecture for freerunning. The man, now dressed into heav clothing of a thick coat with just-as-thick boots and trousers, and a red scarf coiled around his neck, is just at the end of his run now, though-- and at his returning destination of the Temple of Daeus. Having made his way over to the rooftop of it, he keeps on running across it, with the intention of stopping to climb down at the side of it where the main entrance lies.

Unfortunately, he does not take into account the slippery ice.

And all of this is how we have come to the very exact moment when a Zant can be seen suddenly appearing from the rooftop, flying feet-first high up in the air and over the edge with a yell of "OOOOOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

He even falls a few feet worth of distance down and past the rooftop edge, before he turns in the air and manages to grab, with a single hand, onto a smaller alcove extending out of the stonework -- and the grip sends his body pivoting through the air and slamming against the wall with a heavy THUD and a faint yelp of pain.

Thankfully, this does not cause his grip to let go.

"T-...that was cloooooooooooooose..."

Elisabeth, walking along the street below, can't help but notice the near fall and catch.... or that, after catching himself, Zant's hanging with his feet maybe an arm's length above a flat rooftop of a lower floor of the building from which he nearly fell. "Hello, Zant", she calls up to him. "Are you okay, up there, or need I fetch a ladder?"

It takes a few seconds after hearing Elisabeth's voice, but he does pry his face off of the wall, so that he can peeeeeer down to her way... and at the extension of the building right below him.

Oh.

"...I'm good, thanks!" he calls down to her then, before he allows his grip to go loose and send him landing down.

Elisabeth walks over to stand near the part of the building atop which Zant now stands. "You sure you're okay, up there?", she calls up. "If you hadn't managed to catch yourself, you'd like be hurt fairly badly."

"I'm fiiiiiine!" the man calls out from above, right before he appears across the edge of the lower roof, then -- but this time he doesn't so much fall, as he just slides himself over to start scaling downwards in instinctive drops from handhold to handhold, until he gets low enough to just drop the rest of the way down and land right besides Elisabeth, knees bending briefly to absorb the landing shock.

"Oof. Hi!" At least he's in good spirits still. Even if his face is all reddened from having it slam against the wall earlier.

Approaching the temple today with something extra in hand, Lysa has what appears to be a heavy woolen cloak trimmed with soft fur at the collar and down the edges... the cloak the color of the sky when the sun is out... draped over her arm.

As she approaches, she slows and peers about before hearing the voices and she looks up, "Oh! Zant! I was being bringing you this so you could be being warmer during winter months!" she offers, holding the cloak up and as it unfurls, the middle of its back seems to have an embroidered yellow disk... one bet what that is supposed to be!

Elisabeth glances over towards Lysa when the woman calls out. "Hello again", she says to her. Then she turns back to Zant, to says, "You seemed to slap into the wall quite solidly... are you certain you're unhurt?"

"Yeah, I'm fine!" Zant assures Lis with a BROAD smile. "Gonna take more than a little tumble to put me down, you know!" The assurance comes with his fist thumping against the left side of his chest.

And then a bit of blood dribbles out from a nostril. He doesn't seem to notice.

He gets distracted by the sound of Lysa's voice, either way. "HI, Lysa!" he greets her enthusiastically, too, with a hand going up to wave-- but he pauses in that motion with the realization that she's coming over to bring something for him.

"For me?" He asks, in brief bemusement, the same tone continuing in his gaze when she holds the cloak out... for all of two seconds before it's replaced by excited sparkles within his eyes. "Thank you!" he pipes out, thus, and snaps his hands over to take the cloak with both hands by the upper hem, holding it up so that he can look it over from up close. "Wooooow it looks so soft." And so, he proceeds to toss it over himself, along his back, and pulls it around himself to all but snuggle into the cloth, sending another sparkling look of gratitude to Lysa. "Thank you!"

Shaking her head, Lysa remarks, "I thought that since you deal so poorly with the cold, that you should have a good winter cloak that can double as a blanket when you are being out in the field." Then she reaches a hand up, "Your nose is being bleeding. May I?" she asks... indicating a desire to lay hands upon any injury.

Elisabeth reaches over to lay a hand on Zant's shoulder... and sort of pushes him Lysa's way. "Accept the offer, Zant", she says, almost making it an order by her tone of voice.

"Ah?" Zant sounds out of the mention of blood, and then draws a hand up to bring it towards his nose. "It is?" He asks with a blink of his eyes, and before he can touch... he's getting shoved towards Lysa with a surprised "Wah!", stumbling over a few steps before he's standing barely a step's worth of distance away from Lysa in front of her. "Uh....." He tosses a wide-eyed look towards Elisabeth over his shoulder, and then mumbles "O-... okay..." before turning to look to Lysa. There's red gathered over his features, but that's *totally* because he slammed his face against the wall earlier, right?

Shaking her head at Zant's mental state, Lysa merely places a hand gently upon his cheek and nose. A bit of focused willpower and golden light flares briefly to life upon her hand. The damage from the wall-fas-smack is healed, and she drops her hand. "The next time you are being running at a wall... I suggest you turn."

"Oh, he wasn't running at the wall... he fell from running across the rooftop and caught himself, swinging into the wall instead of hurtling to the ground", Elisabeth explains, gesturing up to the second story rooftop of the building next to which the three stand.

At the very least, Zant doesn't move while Lysa does her work, so he isn't making it any more difficult for her. After the healing's done, he brings his hand up to brush over his own face to feel it all out, and then sheepishly lowers his head downwards. "... What she said," he admits. "...I'm not so used to ice."

"Then perhaps you should being starting small. As me da said.. baby steps." suggests Lysa with a shrug as she steps back and regards Elisabeth. "It is good to be seeing you again as well milady."

Elisabeth nods. "The armor I obtained for you seems to suit you, now that you've had it properly fitted", she says in reply to Lysa. "I hope it serves you well."

"Yeah, I guess," Zant admits in agreement to Lysa's statement, sending a peer back upwards to the roof he nearly fell from. "...It's so hard to notice sometimes too with all the snow covering it up and all. Maybe I should go running on the river. That's all ice right now, right?" That's... one way to train oneself for moving on the ice?

"I suggest a creek. Something less deep than a river. So if the ice breaks .. you are being only dropping feet and maybe ankles into freezing cold water rather than being the entire body soaked in it." offers Lysa as she places hands on her hips and lifts her brows, "I am knowing how you love being cold."

"I'd recommend not running on a river at all... even if it's not deep, you can still break an ankle when the ice around one of your feet breaks under you and nowhere else...", Elisabeth says. "If you want to run on ice, just run on the snow along the sides of the roads just outside town."

"And yes, it fits quite well. We both understand that armor such as this needs to be fitted specifically. Plus, I need to be sure that my diet does not slip else the waist fit more tightly." offers Lysa.

"... Yeah, I suppose you're right," Zant murmurs sheepishly after a moment of quiet thought on his part. "Both of you." Lysa's last words leave him even more sheepish then, and he subconsciously brings himself to tugging the cloak even closer against himself. "...Yeeeaaah."

He looks back and forth between the two of them, then, and then... "Uhm... How much do you two know about healing work? Without magic, I mean... Like medicine and things."

"I ... know next to nothing, to be honest. I was trained more as a warrior than a healer. For healing, I depend on use of my prayers to Daeus", Elisabeth says.

"There are things that healing magic has limited help for... or which requires more magic than I can channel to heal. Before I trained at the temple, I sewed up Da's mercs for a few years. S'where I learned to brew mead too." offers Lysa. "I would be being happy to teach you if you wish to learn." she says to Zant.

"I would like that," says Zant, with a slow nod of his head underneath the cloak. "...I want to help people. And what you said before... well. It's true. I can only do so much with what I know right now. I don't have... divine magic or anything else that I can use to heal heavy wounds or illness... But maybe I could at least... learn how to help people be more comfortable, and manage until someone like you two can get to them. If I could at least do that much..."
