Lover's Cult (Part 2)
There's chaos in the room. People fleeing up the passageway into the shop above to get away. There's a demon in the middle of all this chaos, hovering behind a khazad who's muscular and looks like he knows what to do with those muscles. Both of them look ready for the fight, the khazad more than the demon who's hovering behind him, but the fight's on nonetheless.
GAME: Shagara rolls melee: (7)+7: 14
Seeing where the dwarf is, Shagara turns and hustles up to one of the Dwarf's sides....and tries to punch him. However, those muscles are thick, it seems.
GAME: Toha RAGES!, gaining +2 to melee attack/damage/Will saves and 6 temporary HP GAME: Toha rolls weapon2+1: (7)+8+1: 16
Toha moves up to the dwarves other side to support her comrade, trailing silver mist as she nears, drawing the Earthbreaker back low, then arcs upward... to whistle past his head.

The demon turns its attention on Shagara, it's red eyes glowing with concentration. "Protect me!" It pleads with her, one hand outstretched.
The khazad lets loose a roar of pure rage not unlike Toha's and kicks her in the shin! Only it does far more harm to him than it does to her, his bare foot striking pure bone. His second strike misses her by a mile; a wild haymaker that was sure to do damage if only it had landed.

Shagara steps back from the fight and looks to the demon...then to the dwarf. "If you not wish to be hurt, then I shall defend you from being harmed.....as long as you do not hurt my allies." She says pointing to Toha and Xasany. Normally, she would not do this.........
The green-haired witch, recently joined to the group investigating the scandalous demon lover's cult, ponders the choices of foes. The dwarf looks punchy. The demon is farther away. Xasany begins whispering words of power that wriggle away like inchworms. Casting her hand out, as if casting a net, causes a messy mass of webbing to adhere to everything around the demon. Sadly, the demon is unstuck... but surrounded by sticky strands just waiting for him to stick out a foot or horn. "Careful, that stuff is extra sticky.", she calls out for the two others fighting alongside her.
GAME: Toha rolls weapon2-1: (17)+8+-1: 24 GAME: Toha rolls 2d6+8: (11)+8: 19
With her initial swing shattering nothing, the frenzied war golem's grip shifts slightly and the hammer comes back the way it came as the Khazad's haymaker puts him in line with it's course >KLUDD!!<

The demon speaks a few arcane words and becomes significantly less substantial than before. Meanwhile the man protecting it swings wildly at Toha whom is in no danger of being hit. "I do not attack /them/, /they/ attack me."
GAME: Xasany rolls cmb+4: (15)+1+4: 20
Xasany frowns as the demon becomes much less substantial, and she mutters a few unkind things under her breath. Her hair suddenly stands on end and lengthens considerably. With a blur of motion, the hair reaches for the dwarf, and begins to entangle him, partly lifting him off his feet. "I have more ways than one to entangle you lot."
Shagara is definitely keeping her body between her party and the Demon, but does turn her head to the demon. "I imagine you'd like to head back home after this, right?"
GAME: Toha rolls weapon2-1: (14)+8+-1: 21 GAME: Toha rolls 2d6+8: (7)+8: 15 GAME: Toha rolls reflex: (16)+3: 19
"Why would I return home? You have set me free." The demon laughs a ghostly laugh and quickly makes its way in the wake of the fleeing people. There's not much that one can do to stop it.
Toha's opponent finds himself in a bad, bad place: constrained before her with she's riding the 'fire. There is a yowl of fury as she brings the hammer across the dwarf a third time and something structural crunches into significantly more critical juicy things. With the demon's move past her, she snaps around feral swipe at it to no more effect than waving at the stars.
The Gnome makes a rather disgusted face as pieces of dwarf fall from her hair, and it whips back and forth, painting a rather ... interesting picture on the ceiling. "EWH! Gross, dwarf blood and bits in my hair! Eluna never said that would happen when the spoke that hex into my head." As the demon gloats and begins to nope the fuck out, Xasany reaches into a pouch and pulls forth a glass vial, throwing it at the demon. She frowns when it smashes and splashes, but doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest. "Great. One more demon loose in the world. Though, I guess Svarshan and Ga'Elian can compete to see who can chomp it the fastest."
Stena is still under demonic control, of course. Fortunately, all she's trying to do (much to her obvious costernation and confusion) is to try and tackle Nasrin.
Over. And over again, of course.
Shagara rubs her head as the demon nopes out of the situation. "Ow...."
GAME: Toha rolls reflex: (20)+3: 23 (CRITICAL SUCCESS) GAME: Stena rolls ref: (15)+2: 17
The red firelight slides along Toha's eyeslit as her head turns, seeking the demon that seems to have absconded in the confusion and she stalks out of the mass of sticky strands with a low, metallic rumbling in her... wherever she makes noises. Her exit unimpeded, the golem's gait falters and she slumps slightly to brace against her hammer, the silver mist stilling to nothing and the darkness is once again unbroken in her 'eye'. The moment passes and she straightens, looking to the juicy dwarf, then her hammer, then... "How do we find him?" she asks almost wearily.
Shagara rubs her head. "Ow. I can't track them, if that's what you mean."
A wee voice sounds from the rafters, "We find someone who can help us." A bunch of hair slowly stalks Shagara from above.
Shagara does make it a point stand in front of the doorway to keep them in there while the demon escapes.

Seeing the hilarity of her bewitched companion trying to tackle the other, Toha moves to try and intercept one of her passes, letting the hammer fall to the side and makes a somewhat clumsy attempt to grab... a whole lot of pain.
GAME: Xasany rolls cmb+4: (19)+1+4: 24
A noisy sigh sounds from above as the two folks below appear to still be bewitched by the damned demon. A mess of green hair reaches down and begins to entwine around Stena. Slowly lifting them up, ever so slightly. "Got this one."
GAME: Toha rolls cmb: (20)+6: 26 GAME: Aftershock rolls 1d20+6: (7)+6: 13
Toha gives a yelp as Stena buries her axe in the golem's shoulder just before she gets tangled up in green tresses. She snaps a spikey hand across the haft of the axe, tearing it from the woman's grip as she steps back, pulls it from the rent in her shoulder, then, flicks it with a >Thunk!< bitfirst into the floor. "... ow."
Stena works to free herself!
It is not working. "Argh! Stop that! Actually, keep me there! What am I even doing?!" She's confused. Frustrated.
...did we mention REALLY confused?
GAME: Nasrin rolls Knowledge/Religion: (20)+7: 27
"At my Lord Eclavdran's command I have summoned Sindri, now at last I may meet his... Lover...?" Nasrin is clutching a book covering in the blood and guts of a dwarf whose corps she casually batted aside. Blood matches her hair and armor. "I can't make out the rest of the inscription here, it's been all blotted out." She makes a face. "Anyone got magic to fix that or something." She continues to squint. "Gives us a motive, at least?" She'll hold up the gory tome to the room.
Shagara isn't moving from the doorway.
The green-haired Witch shakes her head. "No, sadly, I do not have mending or the like."
Toha touches fingertips to the silver rivulet leaking from the breach in her arm, then rubs her thumb and fingers together, "I don't. I can't weave the energies tight enough for a spell to take. Almost, though, I can feel it."
"Argh! Let go of me!" Stena is trying so hard to get out of this mess but, honestly, she isn't having much success. "Stupid demons! Stupid redheads! Stupid gnomes!" Complain, complain.
