The Colosseum, Morning

A clear day. Cool. Dry. A perfect time to train body and mind. Various gladiators and fighters spar with one another or practice on targets. Warming up for showings later on in the day.

One figure, a rather popular one, is walking through the various cliques and groups. Short in stature, but her resting scowl makes her presence larger behind the pair of sun shades on her face. Verdant buckle jacket snapped shut, her arms are crossed as she walks up to a dueling pair, her saying nothing but lightly kicking one in the leg. Shifting their stance before nodding and giving a thumbs up, continuing their observation. A trainer wading through potential students.

Among the trainees, but not training with them yet, stands the truly colossal Kaj uru Thaz. It's his first day back at the colosseum since, well, dying, so he's unsurprisingly subdued as he wraps his wrists. He looks quietly formidable, dressed only in sandals and a simple kilt, his various scars and tattoos on display, and his moonstone eye occasionally glinting in the sunlight as he surveys those around him.

The short shadow elf eventually gets to Kaj after stopping by more participants, the mul'neissa tilting her head up, up, up...

Undaunted, she points at him. And then drags a booted heel into the dirt and sand below to show a simple word.

'Who?'

A question, as she points at him again, no recognition in her face.

Kaj smiles down at Aryia, placing a hand on his chest. "Kaj," he says, then offers a respectful bow.

The woman gives a firm nod, her jamming a hand into a pocket on her jacket and pulling out a piece of paper that's been folded many times. In large letters of a flowing script, it reads:

'I am Aryia.'

Stashing the paper away, she appraises him one more time before gesturing out towards the training grounds. Aryia quirks a brow at him. A finger points to the groups and cliques going about their own training methods, and the same finger swoops over to an empty spot where friendly bouts take place. The finger idly flicks back and forth as she keeps looking at him, brow raised.

Asking which he is here for, it seems.

Kaj drops down to one knee, knuckles on the ground, looks at the sign then (still down) at Aryia's eye, nodding. "Aryia. I like this name."

He then follows where she points, "Aye," it is time to limber up, spar a bit," he says, as he stands, holding out his wrapped hands.

Aryia looks at the wrapped hands. Blinks. Tilts her head back up at him. There's a shrug and a huff, both her calloused hands falling down to clap the wrapped ones as she ambles over to the sparring area.

She makes a line in the dirt, walks some more distance, and puts another line before standing behind that one and making a beckoning motion.

Several of the warriors in training cease their routines to peer at the development.

Kaj nods again, running his hands over his mane, then heads to a similar place on the other side of the line.

When she bekons, he assumes a fighting stance, and begins moving around in a surprisingly fluid and agile manner.

Seeing as Kaj was rather bare bones, Aryia doffs her jacket and starts to toss various items into a pile before its nothing more than herself and her tanktop. Corded and muscular arms flex as she ducks low with a bounce to her step.

And in a blink, she's already up on him, bobbing and weaving before a singular jab lashes out to get a read on his moves. And- oh gods, that little hit felt like a sledgehammer!

Kaj takes a kidney blow that staggers him back a few steps. .oO How did she go from there to here? is surely the backgrouond thought to the agonising pain that just shot through his body.

But he grins through the pain and takes his own stance, waiting to see if she's able to be lured into missing..though now he has his doubts.

Kaj is still feeling that previous hit, but, grit wins fights...so he grins and bears it and now that his hair and claws are out (we sort of handwaved that), he comes at Aryia taking advantage of his massive reach via a kick and wipping whips of prehensile hair!

GAME: Aryia rolls weapon0-4: (13)+20+-4: 29

Aryia seems to not be too worried as hair and claws animate, save for a raised brow from the features animating. She ducks and dives out of the way, though a few hits are taken on the forearms in a bracing stance.

Still getting a feel for him, she bounces on her feet before suddenly jumping high, getting to eye level and slamming a tornado kick into his arm before landing in a low crouch.

Seeing that Kaj is being schooled like a cow being mauled by a cobra, another one of the trainees steps in to try to even tings out...with all the good intentions, both of them are on their asses and trying to remember their names a few heartbeats later...

Aryia perks as others begin to file in from the side, finally, a chance to get revenge for her hard training! It proves effective as the mute woman is harried, small cuts appearing on her arms as she steps up her weaving and twisting to evade, not everything able to be dodged.

She turns away from Kaj towards the poor sods behind her. "Wait your /fucking/ turn!" she gestures at them, grabbing them by the collar and smashing her skull against two at one time before hopping up and drop kicking another out of the area. <Handspeech/Tongues>

She lands in a roll, pops back up to Kaj, who's true position is displaced. She holds back a punch, eyes behind the shades tracking the giantborn's position. Aryia points right at where he is, the illusion not fooling her as she clenches her jaw and does one heavy step forward. Throws a heavy, overhanded haymaker at blinding speed right towards where Kaj's gut is, one that would be totally detrimental to one's health.

But it stops short suddenly, just a hair away. Displaced air wooshes past in a sudden gale. And she flicks a finger out to smack it against Kaj. She snaps a finger, then runs a line across her scarred throat. As if saying: 'You're dead.'
