northern lands, to dwarves born of the elements and touched by stone, fire and lightning, the people of Gaea are diverse, gifted and touched by the destiny. Many races have come to some measure of civilization in the world and nearly all of them have a role to play in the ongoing tapestry that is the story of the Emblem of Ea.

Today, though humans dominate the landscape of the Great Continent, they share it with a number of other races and cultures. Some of them are hostile to humanity and others walk with them on their search for greater truths and a unified future. In addition to the complex cultures held by the various enlightened races of the world, humans often find themselves divided along lines of nationality, religious beliefs and geographical location. The numerous sub-species of humans are just as diverse, in their own way, as the many humanoid races that populate the vast landscape of the known world.

When crafting your character, keep in mind their beliefs and where they may have come from, as these will shape who and what they are. Note, too, that we are somewhat firm on racial height and weight. The tables in each racial entry exist largely as a starting point. You'll want to adjust them for varied physical stats. A character with an 18 strength weighs more than one with a 9, for instance. 120 lbs and slender probably isn't a realistic weight for most adventurers.
