  • Time: November 20th, 2021
  • Summary: After an absolute bender of a drinking night, Aryia awakens in the TarRaCe with a hangover at way too early in the morning. Irshya takes care of the elf, giving her a hearty breathfast and some water, as well as using some magics to rid the hangover. Thurid arrives, playfully bummed they missed the party, but inquires about the celebration. Aryia fills in the two about the details of what happened in the lower markets, from tying up and Ashwing in mid air and dropping them, to how the others dealt with Tran and his demise of being turned into stone. With things winding down, and the bathhouse open, Aryia suggest to Thurid they go work out, and the day gets started proper.

The TarRaCe, too early in the morning, please help. The sun hurts.

After an absolute bender of a celebration (for one person, at the very least), the mute pugilist awakens with a silent groan on a cot in the back of the TarRaCe. She stumbles to her feet, a hand over her torch-bright eyes as she stumbles into the main room.

The worst thing about a hangover as a mul'neissa? The lights never really go off.

The Tarrace is quiet, though there are sounds of activity. The chef can be heard bantering with the rest of the kitchen staff, and the smells of food slowly fill the main room. The barkeep busies himself with preparation, stacking glasses, and restocking spent bottles.

"Oh, you've awoken!", says a familiar voice from below. "Hungry?"

Aryia sighs in slight pain as she could pick up the bantering through the walls. She rifles around in a pocket before pulling out some silver framed shades, relaxing somewhat as the dark tinted glass abates some of the ambient light.

She almost stumbles into whoever was speaking from below her, the mute stopping just shy before colliding with whoever it wa-

She looks down. Blinks. A double nod with a pleading expression.

Irshya gently takes Aryia's hand, and leads her to the baths, which do not have the same bright lighting. And it is noticeably quieter. She pulls up one of the small footstools, and gestures for the Mul to sit.

"Aw, are you suffering a hangover?", the Gobbo wonders. From under her server's uniform, she pulls her symbol of Rada. "Irshya can help."

Aryia didn't protest, the elf rubbing her temples and nodding as she follows along. She sits, but peers over at the symbol. There's a beat of contemplation, but lets it pass. The mute knew of Rada in passing, and it was one of the few she tolerated.

The Gobbo's hands are cool to the touch as she places her palms on Aryia's cheek and forehead. Her hands glow faintly, echoing the glow from her holy symbol.

"You should feel better shortly.", she says softly. "Irshya will bring you breakfast, and water. They will help." She turns and hurries off, wet footprints following close behind her.

Aryia tenses slightly, not from the touch, but the effects of whatever the pool-shark was going to cast. She knew Irshya, but not as well as some other priests, so there was that little bead of doubt that liked to flare up every time.

The spell felt like it frayed a twine of pain, the shadow elf's eyes half-lidding in relief as the pain starts to slowly ebb, leaving only fatigue in its wake. She flashes a thumbs up before a wet trail of footprints were left.

Irshya returns a short time later, bearing a small tray. A plate with a generous helping of scrambled eggs, bacon and small, fried potatoes. Another plate with several thickly cut slices of crusty bread, liberally buttered. A large glass of water.

"Drink a little water first. Most of the pain comes from being dehydrated."

The Gobbo holds out the tray, holding the glass closest.

Aryia peers over her shades, head resting against the wall. She perks up some, giving a tired smile and accepting the savory breakfast with no complaints. Sip of water. She dumps the toast onto the plate of other food stuffs, stacks the plate atop the other, and assembles herself a breakfast sandwich. "Thanks," a hand motions out in the midst of all of it. <Handspeech>

Irshya giggles at Aryia's sandwich stacking. "You're most welcome!", she replies cheerfully. She glances sideways a moment, and then sneaks one of the bread slices, crunching enthusiastically on it. "Irshya baked this herself. Irshya has been learning to cook."

Aryia didn't complain about the stolen food, it was free, after all. She takes a large bite out of her monster of sandwich. She bobs her head some, passing the beast into one hand as her other one speak for her with her mouth full. "It's really good. I like those things you made last night. Uh. Sorry for getting the pool messy. I'll clean everything for you for that...." she rubs her neck. <Handspeech>

Thurid makes her way into the TarRaCe just in time to see a certain gobbo-shark making her way out back. The Jotunborn grins a bit, and then follos on after her, offering a brief wave in greeting to whomever is staffing he front of house at this hour.

Her head pokes around the corner after the two of them, and a hand is raised in greeting. "Morning!" she offers, as chipper as Aryia is not. "How are you two doing? I heard the place is staying open after all?" she wonders.

The Gobbo manages to look bashful, peering down at her feet. "Is it?" Her grin is wide and toothy. "Irshya is happy that you enjoyed last night. It is fine, last night was for you to enjoy and unwind, and Irshya was happy to be a part of it." Irshya giggles lightly. At Thurid's arrival, she squeaks and nods to the Jotunblood. "Thurid! Yes. Irshya is now the full owner. The Tarrace is open for business."

Aryia gives a soft smile (as best as one could with half a piece of toast sticking out of one's face) and a nod to reinforce her compliment. She's about to sign something, but her fingers and face cringe. The hangover was slowly fading away from the blessing, but it still takes time for it to fully leave.

She looks up, (and up and up) to Thurid. A hand raises. "Hey. Missed it light night. Was celebrating in here. Lots of booze." <Handspeech>

Thurid steps into the darker area where Aryia is enjoying her toast fully, then, stooping to pass through the doorway. "That's great news." she says to Irshya then, "I had been missing my baths here." she muses as she stands back up to height again. She looks to Aryia, and then raises her eyebrows, "A celebration, and I wasn't invited?" she says, feigning offense. "What was the cause for it?" she asks then.

"She killed a demon!", the Gobbo says, loudly and excitedly. "With her bare hands!" She hops about from foot to foot, and then throws herself at the Giantess, clinging to her leg. "And you are welcome here, always! Irshya will save a bath for you."

Aryia offers a slice of bacon to the giant-born woman as she approaches. She nods in agreement, she too was missing the baths greatly.

The mute makes a 'tch' sound and shakes her head, chuckling, amused. The question makes her grin, and thumb her nose while nodding towards the TarRaCe owner. "Remember the Ashwing? From the Fernwood?"

She dusts her shoulder off. "D. E. A. D. It's a fucking crazy story." <Handspeech>

Thurid grins brightly at the explanation, and she reaches out to clap Aryia on the back- mindful not to clap too hard and send her breakfast sprawling. "Well done!" she tells Aryia then. "Did you take a trophy?" she wonders of her then. "I'd hear the story." she adds then as she glances around, looking for somewhere to park her backside. On finding a suitibly sturdy bench, she takes a seat.

"If you're up for telling it." She adds, after a moment, smirking. "You look as though the celebration was nearly as harrowing as the fight."

Thurid reaches a hand down to pet the Goblin clinging to her leg on the top of her head as she sits down. "I'm glad to hear it. The tubs at the in just aren't big enough for me to stretch out." she muses.

As Thurid settles onto the bench, the Gobbo pulls herself up into the woman's lap. "Ah, yes, Irshya has not heard how the beast was bested! The fight!" The forgotten piece of bread she was holding is remembered and quickly inhaled.

Aryia foresaw the clap on the back, her holding to her plate with both hands, but was spared sullying the pools. Again. She shrugs her shoulders. "I wanted to get fucked up after all that. Was well deserved, and Irshya here was nice enough to let me and my friends have the bathhouse to ourselves for it."

The mute gives another nod, and sets her plate aside. She cracks her knuckles, shakes her hands off, and gets to telling.

"So. I was in the lower markets, looking for some curtains for- well, I'm moving into someplace, need curtains- anyways. I saw Seyardu, was going to say hi, but then I saw a bearded devil. And then another one hiding out, looking ready to do something. They had something under their skin. I thought they would explode when they died, but apparently they had some kind of hell wasps in them."

She shudders, and continues. "Seyardu put up a barrier to hold them back as we tried to figure out how to deal with these wasps, there's so fucking many of them, and they are immune to fire and a lot of other shit, and you can't punch them so.... anywanys."

"The Ashwing was above us the entire time, and M-O-R-G-A-N was fighting with her the entire time just as Verna came up to help us and try to keep some guards from bleeding out. Seyardu summoned this... angel thing. A-Z-A-T-A? I think its called. Anyways, she used that to try and hit the wasps, but it was a pain. Jinks showed up to help too, and then Seyardu put some spell on me that lets me walk on the air. And... guess who got that jumping around really far down finally...?"

She grins, sipping on her water to give her hands a break. <Handspeech>

Thurid pets Irshya on the head once more as the goblin settles into her lap before her hands come to rest around the shorter woman's middle while her eyes remain fixed on the hand signals. A brief smirk appears when Aryia mentions moving in somewhere, but she refrains from making comment.

Her smirk turns to a frown at the mention of Bearded Devils and she nods her head gravely before wincing in sympathy at the thought of fighting a swarm of demonic wasps.

"They're one of the orders of Angels, yes." Thurid agrees as Aryia mentions the Azata but remains quiet- even though Aryia doesn't exactly make a lot of noise when she signs, it's still polite to listen quietly after all.

Finally, she grins, "No more broken legs, then?" she chides gently on that last topic. "It sounds like quite the battle. I'm sorry to have missed it."

The Goblin murmurs at the head pats, and giggles lightly as she's held by Thurid. Her attention is focused on the Mul as she retells her story, Irshya's eyes following the fingers and hand waving with some difficulty. But she does grin at all the right places. "You ran up into the air and smote the Ashwing?", she wonders, eyes wide. "Irshya would have been amazed to see such, even if there were bees everywhere."

Aryia massages her hands for a moment, looking between the two. A nod. "No more broken legs, thank fuck," she agrees. Catching the light smirk and returning it with a tiiiny squint of the eyes. "It's okay."

She continues.

"So, I jump into the sky, into a cloud I guess she was using for cover. She flew past me, cut me with a sword that makes you scared. But I ended up punching her in the ribs as she passed by. I wasn't letting the bitch get away this time, so I ran at her, in the air, and threw her into an arm lock."

"Verna ended up using some magic on her that hit, and kept her from being able to teleport away," the pugilist mentions, her smile growing a shade sinister. "Ashwing summoned this one guy that's been corrupted by her blood, T-R-A-N, just as Merek and Cesran show up. Tran kills three guards after destroying this hand thing that Cesran made that was holding him. And-"

Pause. Resume.

"-almost kills Venom. But she got away thankfully," she sighs in relief, smoothing her hair back and shaking her head. "Anyways. The Ashwing is trying to stab me in this grab, and I'm nearly popping her shoulder out of socket. Her screaming at Tran to kill everything, and something about me ripping her arm off. I end up tossing her over a shoulder and grabbing her wings, getting both of them under an arm-"

It's at this point the pugilist has gotten to her feet and is giving a physical demonstration. "She's struggling at this point, can't get out. And then I had the most fucking brilliant idea ever. I tied the bitch up in midair. And dropped her. Onto the cobblestone. Over twenty stories in the air. That felt so fucking *satisfying*."

"In the end, Tran was turned into a rock statue by Verna. And Seyardu executed the Ashwing." She flops back down into her seat, sipping on her water as if she was talking the entire time to wet her throat. <Handspeech>

Thurid does her best 'who, me?' innocent look as she's caught smirking, but again remains quiet as Aryia signs her story. She frowns when Aryia mentions the death of the guards, and it deepons when she hears Venom was nearly killed as well- she didn't know her well, but did know of her fellow adventurers.

Finally, when Aryia mentions her stroke of brilliance, Thurid can't help but snort a sharp burst of laughter "I bet that must have been galling for her- and I can't think of anyone more deserving to be brought low so ignomiously." she says then, nodding in satisfaction when Aryia confirms the Ashwing was dead.

"What of Venom, now? Is she recovering well?" Thurid asks, finally. "I know many people have had trouble getting to the temples for healing, of late, and the Soldier's Defense is busier for it." she says, not sounding well pleased by what she says.

Irshya's expression is rapturous as she takes in the story, her eyes flicking back and forth trying to watch the Mul's fingers and gesturing. She blinks in surprise at the news of Venom almost getting killed. At the end, she hops up onto her feet, one planted on each of Thurid's knees. "Yay!", she cheers, arms thrust up in a victory pose. "Aryia, you should have told us the story last night!" She blinks at Thurid's inquiry on Venom's wellbeing, and the Gobbo nods in response. "Yes. Is Venom okay? Does she need assistance? Irshya will go immediately!"

The wee sharky-one hops down from Thurid's lap, and moves to Aryia's side. "Irshya is always readying and willing to assist."

Aryia gives a grin. "Yes, it was quite humiliating. And well, well deserved. I'm just so glad the bitch is dead. And no, no trophies. I don't want to have any of that crazy devil's crap on me, or near me."

The mute's expression... grows softer. "Venom is okay. Seyardu healed her. You know how potent Seyardu's healing is," she assuages with careful gestures. "And the guards were revived. Merek was there, as was Seyardu. No one died."

She snickers. "I was far too drunk to tell it well. Sorry." She reaches out to pat the pool-shark on the top of the head as a was of recompense. <Handspeech>

Thurid releases the gob-shark as she hops up onto her feet, and she nods slowly as Aryia mentions the healing, "Aye, Seyardu has come along leaps and bounds since we first met. We fought, side by side as Giants, not so long ago." she recalls then- though that's a story for another time.

Thurid watches Aryia carefully for a few moments, quietly, and then continues- "And you, are you well?" she asks then. "I don't mean physically." she adds, for explanation.

The Gobbo risks a bad reaction, leaning into Aryia and wrapping her arms about the Mul's waist, squeezing gently. "You did well in vanquishing not just an evil, but a real pain in the behind. Life tests us, always."

Aryia vaguely remembers Seyardu mentioning something about that, but she just nods in agreement. Seyardu certainly has come a long, long way. As has she.

It was a test for the gobbo, but it was one that they passed, the mute reaching over to give a one armed hug to the pool-shark with a gentle sigh. "Thank you."

Though, the soft question makes the mute's eyes slide closed, and she bows her head with a little nod. "I am fine. I actually slept, which was weird. I'm just mostly relieved that I don't have that worry in the back of my mind anymore. And that *everyone* came out of it okay." <Handspeech>

Thurid dips her head once more, "If you're sure." she says to Aryia, then, as she insists she's alright. "As for a trophy- I suppose I can understand not wanting a part of that evil close to you, but I keep them regardless. They remind me of the things I have accomplished- and remind those who would do evil in my presence, as well." she adds then. "And with luck, you've driven a stake into the workings of whatever machinations are at play in this city of late. Perhaps a few more cogs will come loose, ready to be nailed down."

Aryia slowly exhales. "I am sure." That's all she elaborates on that.

The mute rubs her neck, ponders for a moment, then stands, lifting up the side of her shirt to show a healed, fresh gash on her left flank. Pink, new skin, one that will slowly fade to grey to join the rest on the canvas. "Here's my trophy," she mentions, gesturing to it before dropping the edge of the shirt back down. The mute smiles more, and nods twice. "Yes, I hope so as well. If not, then at least all those involved with that bitch can rest easier now."

She glances to Irshya as she goes, needing to take care of some TarRaCe work. She ponders a few things, shakes her head, then offers. "Want to go work out?" she asks. "We can come back here like we used to afterwards." <Handspeech>

Thurid turns her gaze towards the new scar and she nods her head, "True enough." she agrees.

She scratches her head as she ponders the invitation, and then shrugs, "Why not? I've just beeen for a jog, but I could go for round two." she says, and she slaps her knees before standing up herself. "What did you have in mind?" she wonders. "I'd suggest swimming in the river, but I suspect you're not quite so tolerant of the cold as I am. Or were you thiniing something a bit more combative?"

Aryia beckons Thurid to follow, her lightly smiling, but a shiver runs through her at the mention of swimming in that cold water. "Pushup contest?" she throws out there as she starts to walk out the door. <Handspeech>
