  • Title: NausAya
  • Emitter: Aya
  • Characters: Aya, Aryia, Seyardu
  • Place: Alexandria - Southern Bridge over Tornmaw
  • Time: August 31st, 2021
  • Summary:

Aya and Aryia are returning from a long walk along the mountain road, their destination taking them over the southern bridge. A path straight towards the TarRaCe and their addicting bathhouse. Seyardu runs into them, expressing concern for Aya's well being, with Aryia not buying Aya's proud front. Though, Aya was on the up and up! That is, until she abruptly vomits blood, and passes out. The two rush her off towards the temples. Back to The Room for now.

What began at dusk lasted well past it and into the evening. The trek up the Redridge path to the airstation (or at least the high ridge road) was an ambitious one. Unfortunately. In these circumstances. For Aya. The important fact, however, is that she made it there.

The trip back down was ... not any better, even with the aid of gravity. Whether feeling more comfortable in the dark, or weariness was edging out pride, Aya required far more leaning than she preferred; whether upon Aryia, Zeke, or the stone of the ridge. They made it back to more simple and more flat ground, and her steps have improved. Of course, the level ground, the railing of the bridge, and the fact that they are nearer the bathhouse all serve to assist her as well.

Also a given, through, is that she is perfectly fine and capable. She's been asked, and said as much several times.

Every assurance that everything was fine was met with a sidelong glance, a raised brow, and a gait that matched Aya's own. Just to be sure. Walking around in the full night was something of a luxury for Aryia, despite their long trek up the mountain road and back down, she had second wind going along the streets towards (yet another excuse) the bathhouses. The moon was full and clear, and the extended walk was productive.

"Numbers are a little strange. You only need one hand to count. Though I'm... not that great at counting, so I can show you some of it,Aryia" she motions towards Aya, going off a previous topic that spawned after Zeke broke off of their small group. <Handspeech>

Seyardu was coming up the steps to the bridge. Unlike usual, she no armor on, though she did have the adamantine polearm slung over her back. So it was that they were behind the two. She squints, taking a moment to make sure they were the two elves she knew. "Aryia, Aya, peace on your nests." She greets, not too loudly, but enough to be heard. She offers a wave to any who turned around.

Aya is watching Aryia's hand, listening to her instruction. Numbers are at least somewhat easier to track, given their progression. She repeats the signs, in turn, her other hand on the railing. Just in case her mentor might need both for a lesson, or comment. The call does catche her ears and her eyes lift to it.

"Peace on your nest," she returns, chasing it with a small cough.

The hands pause in their instruction, Aryia pivoting around on a heel and walking backwards a few steps. Her brows raise, as does a hand. There's some hissing reply, but it's unclear as to what she says, though she does augment it with her hands. "Peace on your nest. Were you fishing down there again?" <Handspeech>

"This one was fishing, somewhat, and went for a swim." She offers with a nod as she steps closer. "Even caught something for dinner. "You sound a bit tired Aya. Are you alright?" She asks with a glance to the other Mul, and something almost like concern.

Aya holds up her free hand to lightly wave away Seyardu's concerns and assure that all is well. Not in the proper fashion that Aryia would approve of, but in a more generalist sense. "I am a bit tired, but I am f-er-" her reply is cut short as he eyes widen as her face scrunches. She promptly turns away, to the rail, and finishes the word over the side. Along with her dinner. For their sake, hopefully none are fishing directly below.

Aryia was about to mention how well Aya did going up the mountain road and back down. But the only thing that came up was Aya's dinner. She frowns a bit, grimacing from the noise yet stepping forward to put a gentle hand on Aya's back. Secretly, behind the proud mul, Aryia gestures with tiny motions, "I think she overdid walking a little bit." <Handspech>

"Be at rest, Aya, do not speak if it makes you feel ill." Seyardu adds as she stands a bit awkwardly back while Aya empties her stomach. "Do you need something for your stomach?" She offers, looking for a response from either Mul.

This time, Aya lifts a hand above her shoulder and makes a more formal gesture, or as near as she can with one hand. While heaving. "I. Am. Fine." Because of course she is. It's quite obvious.

Once she's done, and breath caught, she adds, still eyeing the Tornmawr, "Perhaps. Too much dust. From the trail." She doesn't spurn Aryia's hand, though she does straighten up afterwards and wipes at her chin before turning towards. "There. Nothing of consequence." <handspeech>

Once she's done, and breath caught, she adds, still eyeing the Tornmawr, 'Perhaps. Too much dust. From the trail.' She doesn't spurn Aryia's hand, though she does straighten up afterwards and wipes at her chin before turning towards. 'There. Nothing of consequence.' <handspeech>

Aryia squints at Aya, the inkiness of night making Taara's gift a half circle shimmer. "Sure. Totally fine," she falsely agrees, the brow high on her forehead countering the gestures. There's a sigh, her looking towards Seyardu. "You wouldn't happen to have a tea for this, would you?" <Handspeech>

"Aya. Fine people do not empty their stomachs suddenly while walking down the road. I understand your pride, but there is time and place." Seyardu notes, stepping to her other side. "I have a tonic which may help, and supplies to make more tea, if you would wish to sit down somewhere."

The offer was firm, and the silver sith-makar rests one hand on her hip.

Aya must admit that Seyardu makes a reasonable argument, and Aya may not have the energy for a debate at present. "Perhaps a rest and some refreshment would help," she accedes, "but no potions. I have yet to dare attempt one."

Aya then offers a half-smile to to Aryia as a more genuine attempt at reassurance. "It will pass." The expression and signing may be assuring, though the bit of red smear on her chin and forearm may be less so. <handspeech>

Aryia sighs a bit in relief as Aya agrees to have some manner of care administered. Her eye glance to the signs, then back to Sey-

Taara's sight snaps back and narrows again. "Oh shut the fuck up, you threw up blood, for fuck's sake," she signs a bit heavy handily.

<Handspeech>

Seyardu blinks when Aya turns around. She sniffs the air, and squints some more. She was about to ask Aryia if that was in fact blood when Aryia signs some more. Seyardu sighs.

"It is not normal to throw up with blood, correct. If the movement is causing such, you should slow down." She suggests, moving closer to get a better appraisal of the injured mul's state.

"A rest and some tea would be fine," Aya agrees (again), and her body concurs as she leans back against the railing in a slouch. "And a bath would do wonders. All will be well. I've weather plagues, defeated fiends, defied deities..." she pauses to clear her throat. "A walk and a bit of indigestion are hardly cause for concern."

Aside from the smear of leftover gore and bile from her unexpected regurgitation, and her looking even more weary than when Seyardu first arrived, Aya seems relatively hale. Her eyes may be a bit unfocused, though that could be from attempting to adjust to the nearing sith.

Aryia does frown a touch despite the growing list of accolades. She puts a hand on Aya's arm, a now common gesture for some physical support should she need it. She doesn't have really anything to add, letting the healer do her thing.

"This one is sure you have. And even the greatest heroes get injured. It is not the walk that is the concern, it is the effects of previous injuries with the walk." Seyardu explains as she holds out a small vial. "Drink this, it will help with your stomach."

Seyardu turns to Aryia, then. "Do you know somewhere close by that would work for a rest spot? The TaRaCe is a bit far, unless Aya would allow you to carry her."

Aya nods in agreement with Seyardu. Twice, even, possibly for emphasis. "Precisely. The walk was pleasant, nothing out of the ordinary. Thank you for the tea." She reaches to accept the vial, though must pause and adjust her hand to the right to actually grasp it. A slight lift in a salute and then she sips from it. Another half-smile is offered to Aryia, again assuring that all is well. Well, somewhere between Seyardu and Aryia; that's a bit off to the left, also.

Aryia's head cants in the other direction now, almost like the motion felt like it would correct Aya's slight offset. "Are you feeling... dizzy?" she asks, glancing towards the edge of the bridge. <Handspeech>

"This is not tea. It is a tonic for upset stomachs. It is a common enough problem at the Althean temple it is good to have on hand." She explains, though she looks to Aya, and to Aryia. And then to where Aya was looking. The tonic was not instantaneous, but usually had a good effect for nausea.

"We should go somewhere to rest. Aryia, can you guide Aya to a place to rest?" They ask.

"It is tasty," Aya opines regarding the not-tea... which is likely no more truly flavorful than it is truly tea. She sips down the remainder and looks up at Aryia. Not that the others are growing, but more that Aya's back is gradually sliding down the bridge rail that she leans against. She manages to sit without falling, even if it may not be wholly intentional. She leans her head back into the suprisingly comfortable stone and closes her eyes.

"Yes... This is a fine place. To take a ressht..."

The vial drops to roll a foot or so along the bridge. Possibly off it to further confuse any unfortunate souls below.

Yes, she's still breathing. Yes, there is a strong possibility that Seyardu's prior mention of carrying might be required.

Aryia blinks, and blinks again as Aya slowly becomes shorter than her. It takes a hearbeat, but she gasps, her reaching behind her back and messing with a leather cord behind her neck. She rolls her shoulders and quickly picks up her fellow mul'neissa, the weight naught more than a feather. "T-mpl-. N-w," she hisses a bit loudly before coughing, a pain flaring in her throat. The mute woman ignores it, her jabbing her head towards the way they came and taking off in a light jog. Enough that Seyardu could keep up. But still brisk comparatively.

Seyardu was already nearby. And just as quickly as Aya was sitting, Seyardu was tilting her head back, not wishing to risk any magical healing. She moved when Aryia quickly moved closer, and helped Aya onto Aryia's back, into the most comfortable position possible.

"Of course. I will come with you, and explain." She offers, joining the two mul'niessa in a jog back to the temples, stumbling a bit as usual, but not falling, thankfully.
