Description

Clean-cut, well-chiseled, and the very model of a Myrrish -- wizardly type? He's a whisker shy of six feet tall, slender and toned of build, with some muscle mass but not brutish. His hair is straight and strawberry blonde, cut in what looks like a military cut that has been allowed to grow out, which leaves it nearly falling into ice-blue eyes. His features are even, straight, and strong, his smile genuine when it is there, his hands callused both in places where a swordsman's would be and where a pen-pusher's would be. The effect is that of an odd amalgamation of warrior and wizard, of dutiful son and rake and thoughtful young man all at once, as of one who is neither fish nor fowl and a little of both.

His clothing reflects more of the same, too -- a swordsman's shirt over what looks like an extension of a surcoat into a robe-like garment of midnight blue, trimmed in silver thread, that falls just past the tops of his boots. A silver breastplate goes over that, and over all, on a steel chain, the symbol of a crescent moon and a sphere within it. A swordbelt is anchored at his left hip.

Combat Style and Capabilities

Seldan is a paladin/sorcerer multiclass that starts as focusing on paladin, but is more comfortable as a magic-user and will start to favor sorcerer at higher levels. He's not afraid to jump into a fight if that is what is needed, but given a choice, he'll try to use the spells first. His bloodline is Celestial, and since the effect of his ray attack is based on your alignment, I use it more situationally than as a default. Stylistically, he blends his magic and his fighting a lot, and as he levels, will develop abilities that reflect this preference.

He is mindful of when lethal force is and is not appropriate. He will not use lethal force on non-evil creatures unless it is used on him, his allies, or an innocent first, but if he deems lethal force called for, he will not hesitate.

Roleplay Hooks

• Seldan grew up in Bryn Myridorn, under a fairly strict and sheltered upbringing. There are things that many adventurers take for granted that are simply not within his realm of experience.
• He occasionally gets admonishing letters from his father in Bryn Myridorn.
• He has an older brother named Emerind, but the family does not discuss him. After storming out of the family home as a teenager, Emerind turned to evil. The last rumor had him working as some sort of fighter type in Charn.
