The world of Gaea is war weary and heavy with the burden of repeated battles. The history of the world is stepped in conflict and in a world like this, fighters can flourish.

The most recent historical clashes of global significance were The Crown Wars and the subsequent Sorceress Wars. The Crown Wars, fought between Myrddion and Charn, saw a great advancement in both technomagical capability and the fighting forces of both nations from simple grunts to elite knightly orders or black armor clad brigades. The Sorceress Wars, fought for the freedom of Alexandria, gave rise to freedom fighters and guerrilla tactics that fought an unceasing up hill battle against a firmly entrenched occupying force. Ten years later, many of these fighters plus a new generation of fighters are seeking ways to continue to use their skills. Recent conflicts such as the brief

Stormgarde-Myrddion war over the kingdom of Perenath and then the war with the Goblinoid Empire of Bludgun over Sendor have continued to promote martial power. Some fighters might be part of a chivalric order such as the Phoenix Guard or Knights of the Iron Crown. Others may be guards of a mercantile house or mercenaries and bounty hunters hunting after criminals, monsters and malcontents in The Desolation and still others may be in martial orders organized around religious or philosophical ideals such as the Hellguard.

Fighter Options

Fighters stand to reap great benefit from additional feats, new weapons and armor options offered in the Emblem of Ea campaign. Feats from well received books such as Complete Warrior are available along with house weapons such as firearms and other assorted culturally based weapons. The Pathfinder update has opened up many new avenues for the development of the fighter that did not exist before. .

Prestige Classes

A number of Prestige Classes are suited to the fighter, including some that are related to race specific themes where their history and martial traditions are concerned. For Orcs, for example, the Grand Blademaster, is an iconic martial PRC that represents an ideal of Orc combat. Dran Juggernaut, Indomitable, Mounted Warrior are good examples as is the Rune Gunner for firearm focused warriors. Technomagical fighters are drawn to the Steam Titan and Warrior Machinist.

Fighter Organizations

Fighters who choose to belong to an organization or a faction have any number of choices, from local merchant guilds (as guards), to groups sponsored by Serriel, Kor, or Daeus, among others, to the Armsmaster's Guild, and the classic Explorer's Guild.
