  • Title: Poc goes to Goblintown
  • Emitter: Cryosanthia
  • Characters: Aetheras, Cryosanthia, Poc, Acedia, Merek
  • Place: A07: Fernwood Pub
  • Time: Thursday, March 05, 2020, 5:03 PM
  • Summary: Aetheras is having lunch in the Fernwood Pub, debating whether to open a box sealed with blue wax. Cryosanthia stops by, doing server things, and they engage in small talk before she feels awkward and returns to her duties. Poc, meanwhile, is looking worse for wear and telling a dramatic story on a table. Cryo assists, to find he's injured and hungry. She gets him some food and offers to take him to Goblintow, and the two head out. Poc is positively ecstatic when he finally arrives, and overwhelmed at the industry and other goblins about. Acedia is busking on the street and encounters the pair, and Poc is unofficialy welcomed. Merek arrives, shopping for some dragonspitter components, and Cryo and Acedia experiment with making more noise by shooting dragonspitters and snapdragon fireworks into the air.

The common room of the Fernwood Pub dominates the inn, spacious and airy because of the high, vaulted ceiling. Ornately carved beams of dark, polished wood form a lattice overhead, supporting the arched roof two storeys above the floor. To the right of the double-door entry is a spiral staircase, winding upwards to a balcony that rings and overlooks the main area. Large windows at this level grant an excellent view of the river to the west and colorful market stalls to the north and east. An air of coziness is salvaged by keeping the pub dimly lit; parchment-shrouded mana lanterns hang at intervals from the base of the balcony, nestled amongst lush, magically propagated ivy and ferns that grow over this false demi-ceiling and the struts that support it.

The bar is sleek and simple, comprised of meticulously polished black lacquer. Tables are set under the darker niches formed by the balcony floor as well as on the balcony itself. A few are deliberately sized to accommodate halflings and gnomes, but the majority are meant for human-sized individuals. A large common table is on the main floor, set before a semi-circular stage situated against the western wall. Beside it, with pipes mounted upon the wall and running up past the balcony and almost to the ceiling, is a refurbished pipe organ made to look like the one lost when the Fernwood was destroyed during the Merkabah Siege.

The evening rush as the Fernwood Pub is starting, the booths are filling and a couple are at the bar. A white-scaled sith-makar is perched on one of the stools, ensconched between the bar and the door to the kitchen. It allows her to keep an eye on the tables, as well as the balcony upstairs. She has a glass of water beside her, and makes occasional small-talk with the bartender.

Aetheras is sitting alone in one of the tables for two by the windows. He keeps glancing between the stunning views (even on a grey cloudy day like today) and a wooden box on the table before him, about the size of a cigar box. It has an envelope resting on top, and a very formal blue wax seal is visible on both the box and the envelope.

The sith-makar goes for a run of the floor, checking on patrons and refilling water. She slows as she approaches the table with the mul'neissa, inhales, then advances. "Everything Ok? Are you interested in a food or drink order?"

She glances at the box and envelope, but doesn't remark on them.

Aetheras turns to look up and, seeing Cryosanthia, starts.

"Apologies," he says, not giving any more reason, but smiling politely. "Perhaps something strong, a brandy of some sort?" he asks, hopefully.

"Okay, coming right up." She dips her nose a little. Her route to the bar is indirect, off to the side and around the room and then back the same way, instead of the shorter path which takes her past Aetheras. It allows her to approach him from the front in full view.

She sets down a large brandy snifter which is quite full. "There you go. Anything else?"

She holds her hands folded in front of her kilt. She has on white-scale gloves, which match her own scale patterns quite effectively. There is something which resembles a Dragon-eye imprinted on the backs of each of them.

Aetheras takes the snifter, raises it in a silent toast to Cryosanthia and sips from it. "Ah, perfect, perfect....I am so pleased to be able to simply order something on a whim," he adds, smiling. "I think I will postpone this until tomorrow morning and enjoying the view and brandy," he says, tapping the box with two fingers to denote what he means, though it's rather obvious.

"Well, at least you can touch it without falling unconscious." The sith-makar says enigmatically, tilting her head a little to examine the box further. "Good luck with it. Maybe... away from the city if you aren't sure what is inside."

Aetheras chuckles at the first comment, grins at the second, and takes another long look at Cryosanthia--it's obvious he's not spent much time with Sith-Makar but it's a fascinated impolite stare, nothing worse...

Cryo smiles, and then the stare becomes a little long. Her tail swishes and she bows quickly, backing away to the her spot on the bar.

"Then Poc say, 'OI! COME BACK! POC NOT DONE YET!'" In the very Pub that Cryosanthia is visiting, a loud conversation is off happening to the side. Standing /atop/ a wooden table that is surrounded by people sitting on chairs or sitting, the green-skinned goblin seems to be putting on some sort of show as he regales his listeners with some sort of story. As he finishes off, a raucous laughter erupts from those that have gathered, before some offer him some sympathetic comments. With a nearly-finished drink in his hand, Poc jumps off of the table as the crowd starts to break apart and mix across the halls proper.

Poc looks a bit different than when Cryo last saw him. For one is that he has a bandaid across his ear, and significant bruising can be seen stretching from the inside his mask to the outer edges of his jaw. He looks like a goblin that's seen some combat. Or he just fell down some stairs.

Cryo backs away from the mul'neissa and heads over to Poc, looking him over and noting the differences. She seems essentially the same, armour, sleeves that vanish under it, an apron. She stops at a reasonable distance that allows her a good view without looming over him. "Hello Poc. Sounds like a good story. Are you all right? You look a little dinged up. Do you need some food or drink?"

"Dragonia!" Poc cries to Cryo, lighting up when he sees his new friend approach from yonder. Pronounced 'drag-own-ee-a', the nickname is perhaps not only a reference to her natural physique and appearance, but of the outfit she first had on when Poc met her last week. "Poc got robbed." He states quite flatly, lifting a hand to gently touch at the bruising and injuries around his ear. "Got beat. BUT! Should see other person. Kakaka!" With a haughty laugh, the gobber places hands on his hips in an authoritative motion. "Joke on man. Poc have no money or items to steal! KAKAKAKA!"

The promise of food and drink causes him to straighten. "Really? Offer free food? And drink?" The gobber chews on his lip. "That be nice."

"Yes, of course. I'll cover it. You were robbed? Did you get a good look, report it to the watch?" Cryo's eye ridges raise, she crouches down now, reaching out and placing a hand on his shoulder. "Let me know what you want, I'll get you a meal. I can't heal, but one of my friends who can might stop by. I'm sure they would help out. Come over by the bar, I'll get you a tall chair."

"Poc no see very well." The goblin admits with a disheartened tone. "Snuck up on Poc like shadow in night. Poc thinks maybe related to Red Capes! Poc been asking a lot about Red Capes lately. All around town. Maybe someone got mad?" The diminutive figure rolls his shoulders into a shrug. "Poc no know watch, Dragonia. What that?" Looking up at her with his beady eyes as she crouches down, a beaming grin can be seen stretching out from his wooden mask. "Poc want bone broth!" The notion of getting healed has him buzzing just as much as the food, and he falls into step to approach the bar. Scampering up onto the tall chair, he sits high above the ground. "How Dragonia doing?" He asks, looking at his friend with a curious look. "In Fernwood Pub on own? Why not with friends?"

"We should do something about those Red Capes. I know several adventurers who would be interested in that." The white-scale sith says, adjusting Poc's chair beside the bar. "The Watch are soldiers for the city, that take care of problems like people being robbed. This one is well. My friends aren't always here, and the other servers are starting later, so I'm alone right now. I'll get you some bone-broth. Sit tight."

Cryo slips into the kitchen and places an order, then returns and leans against the wall a the end of the bar. It's easier to look across at Poc now that he's seated. She waves at the Bartender, "Would you like a whiskey?"

"Poc agree! Need to do something about Red Capes. Poc trying to find out information. Might have a good lead. Hard to know though." Pursing his lips, the gobber shrugs again. "Poc will definitely ask for help. They strong with swords and axes. Trained bandits. Poc good with bow, but no good to fight everyone." As he sits there, waiting for his bone broth to be served, a small adjustment is made on his seat. Poc's gangly thin green legs hang over the edge and dangle, as arms fold across the bench top in front of him. "Can whiskey be on FIRE? Poc likes fire. Poc know no why. Just always liked it. Drinks on fire. Food on fire. Weapons on fire. Humans on fire. Looks good."

"So Dragonia tell me about Dragonia. How long been in city for? How old?"

"Sure, I think that's possible." Cryosanthia looks at the Bartender, and he lights the whiskey. A small blue flame burns in the glass. While this is going on she takes the time to fetch the bowl of bone-broth from the kitchen, and sets it down in front of Poc.

"I've been in Alexandria for almost two months, and I'm 21 years old. This is quite young for sith-makar."

When the broth gets served in front of him, Poc doesn't hesitate as he starts to gobble it all up. Big loud slurps are made with the spoon as he somehow manages to consume the stuff through his mask. The whiskey is reserved for last (though he does blow out the fire before it burns off all the alcohol). With a swig he rushes it down, beating on his chest a bit to help it process. "Two months? Mm, that is young. Where live before that? With family far away?" The questions are posed in between slurps and food consumption, sparing her a glance on occasion to maintain some level of etiquette.

"In Am'Shere, for most of it. With family. It is far away." She answers, watching him eat. The sith-makar has her own glass of water, which she works on, draining it. "Am'Shere is a hot jungle with a lot of marsh and swamp. Very big bugs, big lizards. Some flying one too. It's nice, quite different from here. Lots of vines."

"Poc like vines." Poc enthuses with a thumbs-up. "Also like jungle. It where Poc from. Mmm. Bugs. Lizards. These are also things Poc enjoys on fire. Kakakaka!" A chortled laugh escapes from his lips as he finishes up, patting his now slightly rounded belly. "So why Draonia here in big city? Home sound like lovely place to be at! Big city has no big bugs or vines. It not hot jungle." With his meal done, the goblin turns on his elevated stool to face Cryosanthia proper, eyes narrowing slightly in curiosity.

"Oh they don't catch on fire very easily. It's quite wet there." Cryo explains, rocking her glass and looking for more water. It's refilled soon enough. She rests one of her feet on the brass rail at the bottom of the bar. She shrugs a little, "Home is very nice, but I'm needed here, to learn things and say things. Help out the others. Whatever needs doing."

Poc looks a little confused at the answer he gets to her question. Not that Cryosanthia could likely see it from behind the wooden mask he still has worn across his face. "Well, Poc happy Dragonia here. If not here? Then Poc be in big trouble!" A beat passes as he considers the next question. "Poc wonder if Dragonia will do one last thing to help Poc? Help Poc get to goblin town? Poc keep getting lost and ending up at Temples." Furrowing his brow, the goblin slides off his high-chair, falling a little bit before his bare feet touch the ground.

Cryosanthia nods, standing up properly, "Sure! It's not far."

She takes off her apron and folds it, placing it on the bar. She looks at the bartender, "I'll be a few minutes, but not long."

The sith-makar moves around Poc, "When you're ready, let's go."

"Let's go!" Poc declares, thrusting a finger out like a Captain aboard a pirate ship. "Poc ready!" And with this he steps out of the Fernwood Pub, waving to a few of those that listened to his story before. They wave back. Some even raise a drink to salute him. "Dragonia lead way. Watch out for sneakers around the alleys. That how they got Poc."

Cryo slips out of the Fernwood, leading the way, "I'll watch out."

Cryosanthia leads the way, giving directions as they travel.. "It's easy enough if you start at the Fernwood Pub. The Temples are off that way, over the bridge. The opposite direction, more or less, is towards the Colosseum. That's easy to find, because it's large."

Some walking ensues, "Then we head south, then it's this street."

And then they are there, looking around.

-=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--<* A02: Goblintown *>=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-

'Goblintown' consists of a dead-end street where a number of poor (and, as the name suggests, goblinoid) residents of the city live. Many of the buildings here have been cobbled together with whatever material was available at the time, often bits of metal and stone stolen from the factories to the north rather than wood. That said, in recent days, many of these temporary structures have been converted to more permanent fixtures, giving the area a less 'shanty' and more 'conventional' appearance, interspersed with the previously impoverished look the place was known for.

The occasional shrine to Reos seems to represent the only 'official' presence in the area, with the City Watch seeming all but invisible here. In their place, there appear to be numerous Arvek and Gobber groups that form a makeshift community watch, giving the sense of wary eyes on every street. From time to time, the symbol of Serriel may be seen as well, though mainly among the Arvek, who oft bear it with pride. Oruch shops sit alongside gobber ones, though the latter far outnumber the former; gobbos' nimble minds make them the natural crafters of the goblinoid world.

At one point there were few shops here, but now the entire area bristles with brisk trade of things ranging from basic necessities to the more esoteric magical and bits of artificery. It is said that one can find everything they need in Goblintown without having to step foot in another section of the city, and this statement, judging by the activity in this area night and day, may very well hold true.

-=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-

As it turns out, the trip to Goblintown is reasonably straight forward. As Poc follows his new friend, trying his best to make a mental map of the route, he can already see where he went wrong in his previous quests to get here. "Poc understand now. Poc went other way all the time. Never gone THIS way before."

Stepping into the entrance in his woodland getup, the green goblin just looks around in awe. Finally it looked as if he wasn't in the land of the giants! The combination of shanty and conventional living seems to strike a nostalgic chord with him as he just stares, before looking at all of the other fellows of his species here. "This... amazing!" He wonders aloud, his nose already twitching at the range of smells that waft through the area. "Thank-you, Dragonia! Poc eternally thankful! This amazing!"

As the night begins to roll in, and a small chill can be felt in the wind, a light note can be heard in the distance, somewhere. It seems to move, the notes resolving to a decidedly ancient song sung in taverns and pubs throughout Alexandros... of a fashion. The player soon shows herself, a Gobbo in leathers, dancing to her own tune. She studiously avoids the puddles left by the snows and rains of the recent past. The violin in her hand shines a golden hue, flashing in the night as she moves about.

"Oh, it's my pleasure." Cryosanthia is feeling the opposite sensation, being head, shoulders, chest and sometimes waist above everyone else. She towers and looks down a good two to three feet on the heads of others. The few Arvecs or Oruchs about are fellow tent poles in the crowd. It's not unfamiliar, the outskirts of Merkabah give her a similar alien tourist feeling, but she hasn't fully adjusted to the outsider sensations yet.

"Oh hey, I think I know her. She was at the Fernwood on community day!" The sith-makar points towards the music and music-player. At least there's one friendly face here.

Poc just STARES at this leather-clad being that comes out from the shadows, watching as she dances around the puddles with angelic grace. The music is nice enough to cause his ears to twitch in response, while his eyes just marvel at its golden huge. "She amazing." Poc breathes, perhaps wondering if he's looking at something in real life or not. "Poc never see or hear of gobber like this before! Never know they make music that sound like it from stars above." Oh dear. "Dragonia know her? What name?"

"I... don't remember." The white-scale sith says, embarrassed. She usually is good with names. As an alternative, she waves vigorously. She is quite visible to start with, being tall and all white, with her arm swiping back and forth the whole of goblintown probably sees her. She looks directly at Acedia and calls out, "Hello? Over here? Please?"

The wee Gobbo playing the violin slowly begins to orbit Cryo and Poc, moving closer and closer as the song begins to reach its conclusion. She comes to a stop, the last note trailing of gently to nothingness. Acedia curtseys and grins toothily up at Cryosanthia. "Name's Acedia, and yes we have met before, Cryosanthia." She giggles brightly. Her ears wiggle slightly. "I can hear you both, yanno. These ain't just bugcatchers."

Her head cants slightly to one side. "Well hello!", the Gobbo says cheerfully. "And I'm not all that good. There're elves that can embarrass my by simply stringing their bows." Her violin bow is waved gently about.

Poc looks positively mortified when Cryosanthia waves so vigorously. "Oi oi!" He calls out. "Be cool! Poc trying to be cool!" Especially in front of this talented musician. But it's too late. Now all of goblintown has seen her and doubtless the ranger-style goblin in Poc at her side. The wave seems to work regardless, as the green-skinned figure watches as Acedia approaches, beady yellow eyes trailing her as she circles around them when the performance comes to an end. "Hello Acedia." Poc greets in a happy tone, adjusting the gobber-sized longbow that is lung across his shoulder. "Me Poc. So good to meet another gobber! Poc go long time without seeing another one before." Beaming a wide smile. "Poc think Acedia play music very well. It nice on ears." The notion of elves causes him to 'pssshhtt'. "Elves very old. Have long time to practice."

"Yes. Acedia! This one apologizes." Cryosanthia curtseys to Acedia, making an effort to drop quite low, which requires her checking clearance behind her to avoid smacking someone with a foot or tail.

"Poc has been in town for a week or so. He's also been recently mugged. You might want to let the Safety Committee know someone is targetting gobbers outside of gobbertown." She means the Arvec community watch, if they aren't busy elsewhere. "And you're great with that violin. Drums and bells are more my specialty."

"You don't have to apologize, I'm not upset at all. And aw, you should see it when I really get going. I do bells and drums with magic, and play my violin meself.", Acedia says to Cryosanthia. "Wot? Someone is targetting Gobbos? I'll show 'em a thing or two if they even try."

The Gobbo looks to Poc, and after putting her violin safely away in its protective case, she offers up a hand to Poc for shaking. "Nice t'meet you! I'm sorry that you were mugged, did you need anything? Coin? A safe place to sleep?"

The bruising across Poc's face illustrates the damage he has recently taken. Most of it looks to be hidden by the wooden mask he wears, but the discolouration can be seen stretching to the outer sides of the left side of jaw. His ear is also fixed with a bandaid -- likely to prevent some injury from getting infected. "Someone got jump on Poc." He clarifies, not wanting to sound like he's TOO much of a sucker. "Poc no have many things to steal, so got lucky. No know if targeting gobbos? Or just Poc? Because Poc ask questions." With a shrug, he seems to pass it off. "Wait. Acedia does MAGIC? Real magic? And use it to play music? Poc no know gobbers do magic!"

"Poc sleeping on street near Coliseum at moment. Tried to sneak in and sleep on gladiator beds, but got caught and thrown out." Oh dear. "But that okay. Poc used to sleeping outside. Poc grow up with wood elves in forest. Always sleep outside." Shaking Acedia's hand, he looks up to Cryosanthia with a beaming grin. He will never forget this act of charity on her behalf, it seems!

"Acedia sleep here in town?"

Cryosanthia laughs, "I do the strings with my magic! That's great." She is smiling and looking more relaxed, standing taller. Then the white-scale decides it would be easier if she was on everyone else's level and crouches down to the point where she's virtually sitting on the ground. Her tail lies flat, straight out behind her, interrupting the flow of goblins and being a tripping hazard. It doesn't last long extended, a few pokes and steps and Cryo curls it in against her ankles, rocking slightly. She smiles over at Poc, nodding her head.

"Hmmph. Well if you see 'em again, you let me know, I'll give 'em a piece of my mind. If that doesn't work, we'll see if hot lead will do the trick. Or maybe just cold steel." Acedia's frown is accentuated by lots of sharp teeth. Her expression brightens at Poc's expression and she shakes her head. "You are really new here, aren't you? Surely your tribe had shamans? Or someone who could throw fire?" Her eyes close, and she begins to mutter something in Goblin-talk, words that sort of crawl out of her mouth and skitter along the street until they vanish. A moment later, an image appears before the other two, a spittin' image of Poc. "See? I'm sort of uhm... I don't know, a skald? Play music, use magic, stab people to death?" Acedia laughs, and the image slowly fades.

The Gobbo grins at Cryosanthia, and moves to pat her knee. "You don't have to lower yourself to our height, yanno. We're okay here, yeah?"

Cryosanthia is given a gentle pat from Poc when she crouches down to try and blend in. Her continual attempts to either be on his level or help bring him up to her level are appreciated, even if it does cause him to grin in some amusement. With attention drawn back to his fellow gobber, he nods in agreeance to the demand. "Acedia no worry. If Poc finds culprit agin, Poc tell all friends." The question earns a shake of his head. "Poc family killed by Red Capes long time ago. Poc no remember them. Poc instead raised by wood elves." That would probably explain why he looks like a ranger from the woods. "Elves have magic." Poc continues, "...but Acedia is first gobber Poc ever remember talking to." What an honour for her this must be! "Definitely no know gobbers do magic." That's said as an illusion(?) appears in front of him. Poc's eyes nearly pop out of his mask in surprise! "WOW!" He cries, doubtless astounded. "Acedia like full magic witch! Poc like shooting with arrows. Poc also like fire. Food on fire. Drinks on fire. People on fire. Acedia like fire?"

Cryosanthia is now being dual petted. His pets on her shoulder along with Acedia's pets on her bent knee. So much gobber love.

"It's Ok. I feel weird when I'm looking down on everywhere." Cryo says, remaining in the crouch, happy at the touch on her shoulder and knee.

The goblin-words leave such an impression on the sith-makar she turns to follow them as she imagines them moving up the street. The image of Poc gets an exclamation, "Very good. And he does like things on fire. I think he'll fit in well."

Acedia grins and nods demurely. "I do have a slight fondness for fire. More along the lines of food on fire. Less so people on fire, unless they deserve it." She chuckles and shakes her head. "I am no witch. I know a few tricks and I can heal a little. I sing and I play the violin, and I am a decent shot with my dragonspitter." She glances to Cryo. "Well that's alright, I suppose, but you don't have to on our account."

"KAKAKAKA!" Poc bellows, delighted that he's already left a mark on Cryosanthia. "Fire is best, hm? Very best." As his hands lace around some of the strappings on his waist, an 'aaah' escapes his lips as Acedia clarifies her skills. "Dragonspitter?" He repeats, taking in a short breath. "...that a cool name. Have some sort of weapon that spits DRAGONS? Must be big weapon!" Pause. "...can Poc borrow it? Want to launch dragons on enemies." His grin widens. Like Acedia, some sharp teeth can be seen where the devilish grin expands from the visage of his mask.

Cryosanthia bobs her head, following along. "I've used a dragonspitter a couple times, but I'm better with my rapier, or dagger." Neither of which she seems to have on her at the moment.

And that thought reminds her, "Wait! I have list for you, from Kaelyn, of people who might have stolen her artifice artifact. She's been making a thing to look for it, but this would help. And... Scales Rot! I don't have it on me. It's in my bag at the Fernwood Pub."

The Gobbo reaches over her shoulder, and rummages around under the top flap of her backpack. After a moment, she pulls free the firearm. "Not so big as that, no dragons here... bullets. Shaped lumps of lead that get pushed out of the barrel by an explosion of gunpowder. It looks pretty cool though!" She cackles and points the weapon up... and pulls the trigger, the dragonspitter true to its name. Loud. Smokey. A large streak of fire.

"How cool is that?!"

Acedia peers at Cryosanthia and nods her head, but frowns in the end. "That woman has taken her darn sweet time getting that list... considering how badly she wants to not be a fourlegged thing."

Merek makes his way to Goblintown, wondering if the map was finally useful. He waves a bit to people he notices that he knows. Then he's shifting his longcoat a bit while he smiles.

Poc remains quiet once the discussion about Kaelyn begins. Though he does seem a little concerned with the fact that a friend of Cryo had something stolen, he doesn't voice it. He just takes it in. When shown the weapon, Poc's eyes widen in wonder. There is a natural sort of affinity he feels towards the thing, though he cannot explain why. "Amazing! Explode on impact?" The 'wwooaaahhhh' that drawls from his mouth hints at how awesome he seemingly finds it. "How much to buy? So cool. All Poc has is bow and arrows. But Poc good with it!" He adjusts the longbow around his body, feeling just a tiny bit emasculated. >_>

"Oh! Merek! Hello! Merek won't /believe/ what happened to map!" Poc rounds on the human, the injuries on his face in some view. "Poc got robbed! Had map stolen." For /some/ reason it was one of the only things taken from him. "But it okay! Dragonia here showed Poc the way to Goblintown." Cryosanthia, aka 'Dragonia', is given another pat. "What Merek doing here?"

Cryo jumps a little at the dragonspitter's retort, which overbalances her, making her hop in places and swish her tail about to catch it. It's an amusing bunny-hop where she never stands. She smiles and huffs, "Well, if a little noise is okay...check this out."

She flips her hand around in an arcane gesture. The tattoos along her arms glow, one particularly brightly. A small fiery dragon appears on her fingertip, and she points upwards making a little twirl. The dragon flaps its wings, flies up leaving a winding trail of sparks, then explodes in a ball above goblintown with a loud bang. The sith-makar grins, watching the falling, sparkling trail of the firework.

"She is. I don't think she's nearly as bothered as the goblin-human or the human-cow are. Oh well." Cryo balances herself with a touch on the ground, crouched down to goblin height, she looks up at the human, "Hi Merek."

"Well, she ought to hurry up. I have been booked to play in different pubs and taverns and inns. I want to help her but... she isn't making it easy." The Gobbo pouts at Cryosanthia. "Goblin-human? That's... weird? Do they have like, four goblin arms for legs or something horrifying?" Her expression of cheeky curiosity doesn't seem too horrified.

Acedia grins to Poc then and shakes her head. "It doesn't explode, it just uh, goes into things. You know? Doors. People. Monsters." She eyes Merek a moment and offers a wave his direction.

Merek looks then to Poc, then he crosses his arms a bit in thought while he thinks about it, "Well, that's... A story," he says. Then he looks to goblin-dragon Cryosanthia while he nods, "Heya." Then back to the goblin man, "I am buying a few things for a longarm," he then unlatches his, while he checks the weapon, "Hey Ace, Cryo, and Poc! You all doing well?"

"That dragon just asploded!" Poc cries out in equal parts terror and amazement. "Exploded!" He corrects, before looking at Cryo with renewed appreciation. "Dragonia can make real dragons?" A beat, before he looks to Acedia. "...Acedia fires dragon bullets from weapon." A look to Cryosanthia. "...Dragonia explodes little dragons." Then a look to Merek. "...Merek family IS dragons. Poc want dragon thing!" The green goblin stomps a bit in frustration, gritting his teeth.

"Poc going to explore Goblintown." The sudden decree from the injured ranger is made as he takes a step away from the group. "Nice meeting Acedia. Maybe show Poc more music sometime?" With a glance to Merek and a nod to him, he waves to Cryo. "Thanks again for leading Poc to this town. It very nice. Poc cannot wait to eat all the food. ALL FOOD! ALL THE TIME!" With a chortling laugh he stomps away, swinging his arms dramatically as he disappears into the crowd of gobbers.

"Male goblin, turned female human, very embarassed about it." Cryo explains to Acedia, with a strange look at Merek, then laughs at Poc's outright amazement and love of everything dragonish, "We'll get you a dragonspitter, well, someone here can, hopefully. after those bandits. Have a good time in Goblintown!"

She waves as he heads off. "I'm fine Merek, yes. Ah, your gun, good to hear that's coming together."

Acedia blinks at Poc's sudden dash into the crowd, and she offers a wave as he goes. "COme find me at the Fernwood, okay?!", she calls out. "I hope he'll be alright.", she says to Cryo. "And goodness, that might be embarrassing, I suppose, if you're insecure about yourself." Her face gathers a thoughtful expression. "Hmm. I think I can help him with a few things." The Gobbo looks to Merek and shrugs. "I am doing well enough, how are you getting on, Merek?"

Merek waves a bit to Poc, then he shifts his attention to Ace, "Well enough, planning an exploration into the Plane of Water," he says, looking then to Cryosanthia and to his firearm, "It's quite useful in a fight, if you need to use no magic," he adds as well.

"It's good to have options." Cryosanthia agrees, standing back up to her full height. She brushes at her kilt, making sure it's down on all sides, then checks her belt where her weapon should be. "I should get back to the Fernwood, I said I'd be only gone for a few minutes. I'll make a copy of the list, and it will be there if I'm not, ask the bartender for it. And I'll carry it too, and Kaelyn wanted some help searching as well but I don't know when that's organized... and there's that trip too."

She gets a funny expression, as if she's forgotten something else, but it stays forgotten.

The Gobbo cants her head back as the Sith stands up once more, and she grins toothily at the woman. "Much better when you're up there.", she says. "Alright, alright, I am staying at the Fernwood, so hopefully I can catch you there a little later, yes? If not, I suppose I will talk to the barman. You could also just slip it under my door? Room nine." She hops from foot to foot and grins. "It was good to see you again, Cryosanthia." She looks to Merek then, her expression curious. "The plane of water? How will you breath? there? Can you swim?"

"We will be using magic, I also am making potions," Merek says, with a look to the two, "You both be well, I am finishing up shopping then will probably be back to napping a bit."

"Okay! Room 9, got it. See you there, take care!" Cryosanthia waves at the two, then carefully makes her way out of goblintown, doing her best to edge around the other pedestrians which are half-height to her. Her tail very carefully controlled until she's back on normal streets and can freely swing it about.

Acedia waves to Cryosanthia as she heads off, "Take care!" She then pouts as Merek says that he, too, is heading out. "Alright, well stay safe on your journeys." She turns and begins wandering off down the street.
